E-Mentor Advocate Partnership Program (EMAP)

Through the E-Mentor Advocate Partnership Program (E-MAP), the OME works closely with MIT alumni and corporate government partners who have committed to supporting the OME’s students (known as the Industrial Advisory Council for Minority Education, or IACME). Together, they promote the direct involvement of industry in the educational development of MIT students. The goal of E-MAP is to help students transition from academia to the work environment. Mentor Advocate Partnership (MAP)

A volunteer mentoring program designed to complement the Institute's academic advisor system by helping first-year students to build relationships with staff, faculty, post-docs and graduate students; to monitor their academic performance and personal well-being; to offer encouragement; and to provide a proactive support network.
